Linda Pine has Joined HR Insourcing Board of Advisors

12/08/2008 - Boston, MA  Ruth Liebermann, Managing Director of HR Insourcing, LLC has announced that Linda Pine has joined HR Insourcing Board of Advisors and is presently a human resources consultant and executive coach.  She provides counsel to senior executives of small and emerging firms on the strategy and implementation of their human resources programs.  In addition, she provides executive coaching to senior executives and high potential employees.  She brings with her more than 30 years of progressively responsible experience as both an internal executive on senior management teams with extensive board-level exposure, and as a consultant working with dynamic organizations, primarily in the life sciences.  

Linda most recently worked in-house with Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which she joined in 1994.  She served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, until February 2006, and as Senior Advisor until January 2007.  She was responsible for developing and overseeing all human resources activities for the company, having joined shortly after its founding.  During this time, Millennium evolved from an early-stage research company to a fully-integrated commercial biopharmaceutical company.  The Company experienced dynamic organizational change through periods of significant organic growth, coupled with several mergers and acquisitions, and subsequent refocusing and restructuring. 

Linda’s prior positions include:  Vice President of Consulting Services for The Survey Group, a New England regional HR survey and consulting firm; Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Relations with Collaborative Research, Inc. (now Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corporation); and a number of human resources management positions with Eastern Enterprises (now part of National Grid) and the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. 

She earned her BA, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University, her MPA from Northeastern University, a certificate from MIT Sloan School’s Greater Boston Executive Program, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.  Linda previously served on the board of HRLF (the Human Resources Leadership Forum, an affiliate of the Human Resources Planning Society), as chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s HR committee, on the advisory board and faculty for Bentley College’s Human Resources Management certificate program, and as a national president of the International Association for Personnel Women (now the National Human Resources Association).

Jamie Grant has joined HR Insourcing Board of Advisors

06/14/2008 - Boston, MA Ruth Liebermann, Managing Director of HR Insourcing, LLC has announced that Jamie Grant, Partner at Mirus Capital Advisors has joined the Board of Advisors for HR Insourcing. Jamie has a wealth of experience in negotiating, structuring, valuing and closing mergers and acquisitions, financings, restructurings and leveraged buy-outs. Over his career, Jamie has managed over 50 engagements for clients in a variety of industries including: industrial products and services, electronics, manufacturing, capital equipment, business services, information technology and consumer products.

Beyond his transactional work Jamie has been called upon to speak to professional organizations including the American Bankruptcy Institute, MIT Enterprise Forum, CapitalVenue, TMA, MIMC, and a variety of continuing education programs. He has been a resource to the media providing analysis of corporate finance trends, and has been a resource to the Boston Business Journal, Boston Herald, The Daily Deal, The Eagle Tribune, Bankrate, Upside, Board Member Magazine, CNET.com, Mass High Tech and the Austin American-Statesman. He has also served as a consultant or as an expert witness on the valuation of companies and intellectual property.

In addition to representing successful growth companies in mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions, Jamie has represented distressed companies with divestitures, bankruptcy sales, and out-of-court restructurings. He has successfully executed 363 sales and financial restructurings for clients in the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in Delaware, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

Prior to joining Mirus Capital Advisors, Jamie held management positions with Newmarket Software (now Newmarket International) and Starwood Corporation. He serves as Mirus’ compliance officer and is a Registered Securities Principal holding Series 7, 24 and 63 FINRA certifications. He received his BA from the University of New Hampshire.
